Robert J. Bookmiller (along with his colleague, Dr. Kirsten Nakjavani Bookmiller) has received numerous Canadian Government research grants to investigate Canada's Human Security Policies. He has published articles on Canada and the Middle East and is the author of "Discovering the Arabian Gulf: Canada’s Evolving Ties with the GCC States" [Dubai, United Arab Emirates, The Gulf Research Center, 2006] and the forthcoming "Engaging Iran: Australia, Canada and Japan's Economic and Political Relationships with the Islamic Republic."

Dr. Bookmiller received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and His Master's and PH.D. at the University of Virginia in Foreign Affairs.

He currently teaches courses and conducts research in Comparative Government and Comparative Foreign Policy.
