Professor Holman has presented numerous papers on Canadian Cultural History, the History Of Canada/US Relations, and Canadian Sports History at regional, national and international venues.

He received his undergraduate degree from McGill University, his MA from McMaster University and his Doctorate from York University. He has been a Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at The Center for the Study of Canada at Plattsburgh State University.

An animated speaker, Dr. Holman is a hockey enthusiast, player and coach.
